There are over 300 million Deaf people in the world. More than 36 million of these depend on sign language for communication. If they were all put together, they would be one of the top three unreached (or unevangelized) people groups in the world. Less than 2% claim to be Christians. Approximately 750 Deaf people die every day without knowing Jesus. We need your help to reach these people with the gospel!
Southport Heights Christian Deaf Ministry was founded in 1988. Since that time, we have continued to work to provide tools to help the deaf and hearing impaired to know Jesus Christ our Lord. We use ASL (American Sign Language) in a variety of ways during our services to help our congregation to worship God and connect with each other. With activities such as our Bible studies and times of fellowship, the SHCC Deaf Ministry is a great place to get involved!

Family and friends of the deaf and all hard of hearing are welcome!
We are located at 119 Pine St, Indianapolis, IN 46227, just south of the SHCC Main Building (See photo below).
Join us at the following times:
- Fellowship Time: 9:30am
- Deaf Worship: 10:30am
- Thursday Bible Study: 6:30pm
