So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.

Order of Events:

Last supper with Disciples

To Mount of Olives

Gethsemane

Betrayed and Arrested

Trial - Annas then Caiaphas/religious leaders

Early Friday morning - tried by Sanhedrin

Pilate

Herod Antipas

Pilate - second time

In the midst of all of this was beating/scourging/humiliation

Led out of the city to Calvary - place of the skull - Galgatha.

9 AM - “Third Hour” - Jesus Crucified

10 AM - Jesus insulted and mocked - Criminal: “Save yourself and us.”

11 AM - Jesus - “Today you will be with me in paradise”

Noon - 6th Hour - Darkness covers the land

1 PM - Jesus cries out…”My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?

2 PM - Jesus - “It is finished”

Jesus - “Into Your Hands I Commit my Spirit.” - Breathed his last.

3 PM - Earthquake

Temple veil torn from top to bottom

Centurion - “Surely this man was the Son of God.”

Soldiers break thieves legs

Soldier pierces Jesus side

Joseph Arimathea - removes the body of Jesus for burial
