Sharing Jesus With Our Teens
At Southport Heights our teens (6th-12th grade) are invited to participate in their own environment where they can connect with each other as they connect with Jesus.
It’s called CURRENT. We start our experience upstairs in the HUB where we interact with other teens playing games, goofing off and hanging out. After the HUB we transition to Small Group in the Purple Room where we talk about our week, work on the memory verse and introduce the question of the day. We then move to Large Group where we watch the So & So Show and remember Jesus through the Lord’s Supper before transitioning back to the HUB for some more chill time until it’s time to go.
Your First Visit
Here’s what to expect when visiting us for the first time:
First, feel free to follow the signs or ask one of our volunteers about the teen area and someone will take you where you need to go. There you (or your parent) can fill out a family info form so we can set you up to check in on your own next time you come. The family info form will ask for the following information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
-Family contact info
-child’s birthdate, gender and grade
-any special instructions (allergies, special needs)
Once that form is filled out and a visitor name tag is given, one of our volunteers will take you upstairs to the LOBBY.
