HOW SWEET THE SOUND

HOW SWEET THE SOUND | Amazing Grace

Scripture reference:

Ephesians 2

Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found;

Was blind, but now I see.

T’was grace that taught my heart to fear,

And grace my fears relieved;

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed.

THE SIMPLE GOSPEL

YOU WERE.

BUT GOD.

BY GRACE.

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.

Ephesians 2:1

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

Ephesians 2:3

But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead.

Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Through many dangers, toils and snares,

I have already come;

’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far

And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,

Bright shining as the sun,

We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise

Than when we’d first begun.
